I disagree! Yeah there have been more beautiful F1 cars, but that one is quite elegant. Not a fan of the fat air intake though.

The only thing I like about these are that the wing comes straight out from the nose (rather than a hole), and that the area in front of the driver is sloped. Apart from that, these are UGLY, although I think that has to do with the massive, massive sidepods.

F1 is increasingly about aero these days, and the front wings are getting wild. The funny thing is when one of the end planes breaks off the million-dollar wing and the car continues on like nothing happened.

The side pods are hideous. That said, some of the oval racing on the big tracks has been damned exciting. More so than F1 to be sure.

There was a checkered flag photo of the Petronas car that got me started on this rant. I looked for another photo, which I posted above, to see what the hideous black growths were about. Bloody awful-looking, they are.

Well you picked a terrible angle. In any universe they are much prettier than that hideous Indy car. Next year they should be better with a low wide rear wing and fat tires. I think they look pretty good, we are in modern times where we understand aero a lot more, the fact is pretty cars come from not understanding those things, we will never get cars like earlier ones again.
